THE ARTWORK OF LUCA MORETTO CELEBRATES THE ANNIVERSARY OF “32 VIA DEI BIRRAI”.
For the 10th anniversary of 32 Via dei Birrai asked Luca Moretto to create a piece of art to represent the logo of the famous brewery.
The idea of this project emerged from the desire to bring together the art of producing a special beer with the creative flair of Moretto.
The presentation of the piece of art 32ViaDeiBirrai X Anniversary took place on June 25 during the celebrations at the Flangini Palace in Venice. During the event, 32 Via dei Birrai presented Nebra by Angelo Orazio Pregoni, the first beer in history born from the collaboration between a brewery and a perfumer. The beer has an extraordinary amber with intense buttery aroma that evolve into floral and toasted fragrances.
Moretto tells us: “I was very excited by and engaged in this anniversary, because my adventure as a professional artist also started in 2006. As often happens to me, I immediately visualised the project. I interpreted the beer logo 32 by inserting the 8 colours representing the 8 flavours proposed by the microbrewery. As background to the bright colours of 32, I used neutral colours and some "murrine silicone" warm tones that call to mind the beer foam”.
Murrine Venetian-inspired, registered by Moretto as a format “Murrina Pop©”, are a recurring theme that characterizes both his works on canvas and sculptural art, such as "Marilyn", the giant cardboard lamp produced by Staygreen Venezia.
The artwork of Moretto is framed in red oak, provided by Xiloteca of Udine, on which the hashtags # 32ViaDeiBirrai and #DilloColSilicone were carved by hand. #DilloColSilicone (#SayItWithSillicone) is the name of Luca Moretto’s new blog, where the artist will talk about his passion for silicon, the innovative use of which has always been an expression of his art.
